Perma Pools | Content Creation for Pool Builder in Indianapolis, IN
Known to be the largest pool builder in all of Indiana, Perma Pools has built and installed over 3,500 pools during its 35 years in business. They were even responsible for the construction of the pool featured in Home Alone 3! We were very excited to be connected with them through a connection of another happy client. They reached out to us in need of a new website and fresh content to show off to potential customers in the Indianapolis and surrounding areas and we promptly set up a photo and video shoot to get the ball rolling.
Our Goal
We knew that the team would create some killer content, but to make it all work we made sure to have a full plan in place prior to driving down to Indianapolis. We scheduled two full days out for shooting at 10+ different homes. The team was able to come up with multiple concepts for videos, and then make a checklist of the images that were needed for the new site that is under development (keep your eyes open for a post highlighting that in the near future). Being able to have an organized plan where the client and our team can be on the page prior to showing up is key to a successful visit.
The Process
Once the plan and shot list was approved, we went ahead and started making our way there. In the 2 days we spent filming and photographing some of their favorite projects, we captured hundreds of photos and ended up with enough footage to produce 6 high quality videos for their use.
Day one consisted of exploring the towns of Carmel and Zionsville, visiting a handful of different pools in the areas. We launched the drone for each location and then used secondary cameras for multiple angles on the ground with depth and wide angles. We knew we wanted to get as many different shots as possible so we could make the details really show that Perma Pools highlights in their projects.
The second day began at their headquarters in Indianapolis where we interviewed the owner of Perma Pools and captured a variety of b-roll for their company video. The focus was to build a 2 minute story video to help give potential customers an idea of who they are, how long they have been doing business, and show off some of their projects on top of that. It all came together very well!

This company video was the main focus of our trip. Coming up with a good way to explain their story was a key part of the project. We are very happy with the end results and couldn’t have had a better time with the team at Perma Pools as they gave us insight into their brand so we could help bring it to life even more!
The pools they are able to create are nothing short of amazing. We created a mini “hype” video that they could utilize for Social Media Advertising and general features throughout their site. This 30 second video just highlights some of our favorite angles at the multiple jobs we visited.
On top of these videos, we made a handful of others which included a testimonial video, product highlights, and more. Once those were done, we were able to dive into the mass amount of photos we shot. Check out our favorites below!
