Residences Senior Living

A physician-owned senior living provider with two communities and several levels of care that needed a warm, reassuring site for families making a hard decision.

The project

Residences Senior Living operates two communities in Northwest Indiana, Residences at Deer Creek in Schererville and Residences at Coffee Creek in Chesterton, offering senior living, assisted living, memory care, and short-term therapy. The company is physician-owned and locally operated, and has been voted Best of the Region for more than a decade. The people choosing a community are usually adult children helping a parent, which makes the decision emotional and high-stakes. The site had to feel warm and trustworthy, present two communities and several care levels clearly, and make it easy for a family to take the next step, whether that is reading about memory care or scheduling a visit.

How it came together

We built the site to feel calm and reassuring rather than clinical, leading with welcoming photography of the communities and the people in them. The two locations each get their own clear identity so a family can quickly find the one near them, and the care levels, senior living, memory care, and short-term therapy, are laid out plainly so visitors understand exactly what is offered. Trust signals like the physician ownership and the Best of the Region recognition are surfaced where they reassure. A built-in community assistant gives families a low-pressure way to ask questions, and clear prompts to schedule a tour give them an obvious next step when they are ready.
